Is Huddersfield too far to go to see dance?

It's as if dance companies are repulsed by Manchester... the nearest the Scottish Dance Theatre are coming to Manchester on their 2011 Spring Tour is the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield.

So far I've been to Liverpool and Sheffield in the effort to not miss dance (and I'm not a driver so we're talking trains here). Huddersfield is the same as Liverpool, if not quicker by train, and probably easier to get to (and definitely home from - there are more trains) than Sheffield.

But Huddersfield certainly sounds too far... but I'm considering it. Spring and summer 2011 are looking pretty dry otherwise...
