Dance Initiative Greater Manchester are pleased to announce that we have been included in the Arts Council's National Portfolio of funded organisations.
Investment from ACE to us has increased, which we are very proud of and glad our efforts to increase opportunities in both community and proffessional dance have been recognized.
This funding will help to support our biennial outdoor festival Urban Moves which will be back in 2012, as well as a number of community dance projects run by Dance Initiative, including our thriving creative project in partnership with Company Chameleon, 'Stride' for young men, which has re-launched recently.
We are grateful to the Arts Council for its belief in and support of Dance Initiative since our inception in 1992, particularly in the wake of recent government cuts.
